I cant believe how many people are getting married! It is so good though because a lot of the things in the world say that it isn't the ¨cool¨ thing to do. Well if there is anything that I have learned in my short time in Mexico is that marriage is so important. I think something that some people don´t realize about gay marriage is that it is an attack on Heavenly Father´s plan. What was the second commandment that God gave to Adam and Eve? Multiply and replenish the Earth. I´m going to be very blunt here. If you participate in a gay marriage, your are breaking a commandment of God. There are so many scriptures in the Bible and Book of Mormon that talk about what God will do to those who choose to break this commandment and it is not pretty. (Note from Mom, I love this girls conviction! Sorry if this offends anyone.)
Anyway....You heard right! We are in a different apartment and this Sunday will be our first in a different chapel. An official Church Chapel! I am so excited! 4 1/2 months in Valle and my last week we get to meet in a chapel! The church meetings have been so inspiring lately. We have been working really hard to plan everything a few weeks before so that the speakers have time to prepare. I have felt the spirit strong in the chapel. It makes the experience so much better for the investigators.
We have a new investigator who went to church this past Sunday. Her Name is Mariana and at first she was a little nervous to go. I finally understood why so many people don´t go to church. Sometimes it is because of a spiritual problem but more than likely it is because it is a social problem. Mariana is amazing. Her mom was taking the lessons before with other elders but she moved to Mexico City. She has such a spirit of happiness and I love being around her.
Transfers will be next week. I am a little sad to be going but I think I have done all that I can here...correction when I finish this week I will have done all that I could have done. Valle has a part near and dear to my heart. The people, the weather, the adventures, I am sure going to miss it BUT I know that great things are in store.
It is true President Whitehead´s son in law passed away and Hermana Whitehead went home for two weeks. I am not sure if she is back but it is crazy the things that can happen in an instant. it reminds me of how important our time is. In the mission, with our families, every minute counts!
I am so grateful to be a part of such an amazing church and family! I love you guys so much! with all of my heart!
Keep on Keeping on!
Love you tons!
