This week marks HUMP DAY!!!

MOM! MOM! MOM! MOM! MOM! MOM!

I honestly love seeing so many pictures!  It is the best moment when I get to see all of your smiling faces!  You should probably send an updated family pic so I can show people how cute my family is!

Clark is home!  That is so great! I am so amazed at how much the  family has changed in so little time!  So many babies and so much more!  I bet Clark´s talk was amazing!  I have come to know a few of his friends here in the mission.  They are all going to be reunited soon too.

I loved the pictures of you guys with the Toone's!  Hermana Toone showed me a picture that her parents sent too.  I love how the mission unites people in every place!  Hermana Toone is great!  She reminds me so much of McKenna and I feel like I am serving the mission with my sister.  (Note from Mom, Caitlin's companion's mom and I connected on the mission Facebook page.  They are from Mesa Arizona and were in Cedar City for the Shakespeare Festival and we were able to meet up with them.  It was great!)

This week I feel like I have learned so much!  I know that I am supposed to teach people but I felt like everyone was teaching me this week.  The members, converts, and investigators are all so inspired by the spirit that they help me learn what I need to do in this moment.

I think I finally have learned what you wanted me to, Mom.  I realized that before I came on the mission I had a hard heart.  Like a heart covered in layers of concrete from past experiences.  Being on the mission I have had hard times that have chipped away the concrete little by little.  My heart is now a part of this work and I know how the gospel can help the people.  My companions are my friends, the ward members are my family, and I feel myself connecting with the people that I meet in the streets.  It is true that we are all part of this Family of God.  We are all working together to get back to His presence, and this means working the best that we can, now!  I have repented for everything that I did before the mission but I know that it has helped me more than ever in THIS MOMENT!  We only have today ONCE so we must make it the best!

Thank you so much for the pictures, letters, prayers, and support!
I love you so much!,

Sorry we didn´t take any pictures this week......

Hola Hola!

MOM!

I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT THOSE PICTURES ARE OF TAY!  She looks gorgeous!  Who is this boy that she went with?  And I love the way that she asked for Sadies!  HAHAHAHAHA!  Koalas!  She fits right in with the crazy line of asking to dances! ( Note from Mom. Taylor went to Homecoming and I sent Cait a picture, she really did look pretty.  She asked a boy to Sadies with a stuffed koala bear and a sign that read, "It seems you meet all of the "KOALA"fications, could you BEAR to go to Sadies with me.?")

About my package!  I got everything safely.  The package wasn´t broken into or anything!  Good work!  Now you know what to do when you send a package for Christmas! ;)  Thank you for everything!  Now I don´t have to buy food for a few weeks!  I love it!  (Another note from Mom.  I finally got brave and sent a package.  I was so happy to know it made it there safe and intact.)

I bet Clark is going to do great in his homecoming talk!  Take lots of pictures okay!  (One more note from Mom, Caitlin's cousin Clark got home from his mission and we went to Brigham City for the Homecoming.)

Position in the mission....MIssionary....co-mayor....My only responsibilities are working in my area.  Sometimes I speak in the zone meetings.  The elders in my area are Elder Bird and Elder Hernandez.  They are hard workers.  I honestly don´t know a lot of missionaries because I only have served in two areas and the zones don´t change a lot but I can say that the people with whom I am friends will be lifetime friends.  Elder Pratt....I don´t know him too well but he is a hard worker and he has a big heart for the people.

Mission prep.  I loved it and we did have a lot of people go but I think that right now a lot of people don´t want to go on missions.  We just need to have more returned missionaries talk and get them excited.

I get to play the piano a lot but it is usually the same songs over and over again because the people don´t know a lot of hymns.  The mission leader wants to put together a Christmas program.  Too bad I probably won´t be here.

This week was great!  We got a lot of work done and Daniel was baptized!  It was a great moment and I love that I was able to know him from the start!  He has changed so much!

One night we were walking along and I was sending a message from our cellphone.  There is a curse for being tall here.... I hit my head again but this time with my glasses and they are now scratched.  Also I might have lost my camera.....worst news ever BUT I am praying with all of my heart and I know that I am going to find it today!

Last week we went to Chalma to buy a painting and sandals but I also had my first experience in a Catholic church.  They are beautiful buildings but there is nothing more sacred than the temple.  There are always stores in front of Catholic churches and it just draws the Spirit away.  I got to see a Catholic priest in action sprinkling holy water...oh my.

This week we decided to start our day with visiting El Cristo Rey!  We woke up really early and watched the sun rise.  It is so amazing all of the creations of Heavenly Father. We also got some studying done.

But don´t worry we are still working hard here.  Time is going by too fast.  I wish I had more time in the day to visit everyone but I am learning on how to manage my time better.

Thank you for everything Mom!  I love you tons!

I LOVE CONFERENCE!

MOM!

I am so grateful for General Conference!  I think that this time was the first time that I knew without a doubt that the prophet is called of God!  Sister Toone and I had a bet with the new apostles and out of all of the three we both got Elder Rasband right. I got chills when I saw them stand up and walk to their spots.  I could only imagine the thoughts going through their heads.  To be called an apostle of the Lord.  To have to receive revelation for the whole world.  I started to cry in that moment.  It reminded me so much of all of the times that I have been scared.  Especially when I came into the mission.  As I finished my time in the CCM I remember that my testimony was so tiny and weak.  I was so scared to have to help more people have a testimony.  To help people find the way to be saved BUT if there is anything that I have learned it is that sometimes we are scared.  And sometimes we just have to have more trust in the Lord than in what we know.  We need to realize that Satan will work against us and try to get us to doubt ourselves and the Holy Ghost.  But if there is something that I learned from my good friend Tiana it is that, ``if it was right then, it is right now!`` Sometimes we just need to pray so that God will re-light the fire that we have inside.

We have one new investigator named Victor.  He is a 19 year-old boy who has had a rough life with his family.  He definitely doesn`t feel the love of Christ in his life.  We gave the Restoration pamphlet as we contacted him and as we walked away we saw him sit down and start reading.  He had read it all before we got to the appointment the next day!  As we taught the lesson I could feel the spirit so strong during the first vision and when we asked him how he felt,  he said he felt ``chido`` (in Spanish, it is slang for good)  which is the best compliment that the church could get from a 19 year old boy.  He ended up going with us to the priesthood session and when we left he stayed for an hour until there were problems with the internet.  As we returned the next day we talked to his mom and she told us how much he has changed in 3 days.  He is reading the Book of Mormon daily and I know that he will progress.

I am really grateful to work with Hermana Toone!  We have worked really hard this week to start the transfer off great.  I am glad to say that she is fits into good ol`Tenancingo.  There is something about this area that changes the missionaries.  I remember that when I first got here I was really serious and all about doing the work but I am glad to say that I am enjoying the work!  I love the area and I love the people! Don`t get me wrong I loved Valle too but I think I have enjoyed more of the work here.  I think that it has to do with my time in the mission too.

I learned from this General Conference that we only have today once. That we must make the best of every moment and help as many people that we can to keep the commandments and follow the footsteps of Christ.  I want to change my mission from this day forth to helping more people. To stop thinking about myself and worry about how I can help more people.  I feel like I have wasted so much time worrying about how things will help me than worrying about other people and I will be doing a lot of repentance.  Thank you so much for the talk that you left in my package.  It helped me re-evaluate my life!

I love you so much!  Tell Clark Hi for me!

Hermana Drew
