Temples in every place!

MOM!

(Note from Mom:  I sent Caitlin a bunch of pictures Hailey had sent me on snap chat, the ones with the new app where you can distort peoples faces.  They were really funny!)
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!  I love those pictures!  I guess that technology has changed a lot since I have been gone.  Sometimes I don´t even know how to turn on the computer here.  I have had to ask a lot of people to help me.  hahahahaha!  I just barely had some help with the computer as I was writing. HAHAHAHAHA!

What can I tell you about this week!  I LOVE MY AREA!  I LOVE MY COMPANION!  I LOVE THE GOSPEL! The people here are chosen!  They are ready to accept the gospel and I know that we have a lot of work ahead of us!  The members are always willing to help us with the work and we have been trying to help all of the members invite people to church.  It is just my companion and I in this ward and it is a lot of area but luckily the members are ready to do divisions and take people to church and everything!

This week we have been preparing a few miracles for baptisms!  We have 2 young women that are going to be baptized this week.  Hermana Soria has helped so much with the process of getting them ready and I know that we have created this divine companionship.  Yesterday we had to go with a young woman to get permission from her mom.  The elders had tried before but this time was different because we used the spirit in every moment.  We went with some members and they shared their testimonies of when they were baptized as youth and my companion too and I even was able to share my testimony of my baptism.  I haven´t bee able to use that story in a lot of the situations but I felt the spirit so strong!  At first the mom was saying no but as we shared our testimonies we were able to see how the spirit touched her.  She finally said yes and after 2 years of waiting,  Sandy will finally be baptized!  I love the Gospel with all of my heart!

Church was inspiring!  We taught the lesson about the Atonement and we watched a video called "Finding Faith in Christ".  Everyone was crying and I think that I finally understand what it means to me!  I am working on my own Living Christ and I plan to have it finished by the next week to show you!  I love the Gospel with all of my heart!

My address is the same so don't worry about sending letters and packages to a different address!  You're going to send me a birthday package right?! ;)

I love you so much and I love the gospel!  And I love being a missionary!

MOM!

TESSA HAS HER MISSION CALL!  That is so exciting!  I can´t believe that she will be joining all of her sisters in this great work!  (Note from Mom:  A good friend of the family got her mission call)

This week has been a great week!  That is right.  I am now in an different area and back in Mexico state!  I am now serving in Atlatlahuca!  I am back in the stake of Metepec and close to Tenancingo!  I think that I might finish my mission here but anything could happen.....I am now serving with Hermana Soria and finishing her training!  I am excited because she is so excited to work and find people to teach!  The whole bus ride here she was talking about how the ward is the best and that we have a lot of people to teach and we are going to have a lot of baptisms!  I am really excited to be here!

This last week in La Estacion was one of the best!  The stake conference was the best!  I felt like I was in a General Conference and I did end up crying!  They were talking about the pre-earth life and all that our Heavenly Father did for us, that we came here and that we have this chance to be part of the Church.  Then they talked about how He personally interviewed us and sent us off here to earth.  I started crying at that part.  I love that we have this knowledge of the pre-earth life and it is even more special when I can thing about how these stories and scriptures go along with my Patriarchal Blessing.

We had a lot of investigators in the church and we had one that brought his grandson when we went to pick him up.  It was so special to see that he has this desire to help his family progress too!  I love how the gospel blesses everyone!

It was sad to leave La Estacion. I cried.  I didn´t think that I was going to leave but I know that I have a work to do here and I am going to do all that I can to help everyone that I know!

I love you guys so much but there is so much work to do here. Sometimes I don´t want to think about going home but I know that it is something that I have to do.

Love,
Hermana Drew

Abraham's Baptism

MOM!

Don´t worry about your letters!  Honestly I  love listening about what is happening at home and a lot of the times I have forgotten who the people are that are engaged so no worries there!  Also I reeeeeeaaaaaaallly love hearing about your spiritual experiences in work  and the church and everything!  Your letters are great I love them!

This week was great!  We worked so hard!  I love that my companion loves to work and we have seen a lot of the fruits of our work!  This past week we were able to see the baptism of Abraham!  He has progressed so much in the gospel and almost didn´t make it to his baptism.  We were teaching him everything and we got to the last lesson and all of the sudden he said that he didn´t want anything to do with us or the church. I was devastated!  I didn´t know what I did but we told him just to pray and to go to church this Sunday and we will see what happens.  BUT he didn´t show up to church that Sunday.  We were so sad.  So that week we went to find him again and we decided to use the questions of the soul section from Preach My Gospel.  The chapter that he chose was amazing and by the end of the visit he decided that he did want to be baptized!  I love when investigators find their answers in the book of Mormon!  I hope that every single one of us can do the same and find the answers to our questions!

This next week we are going to have Stake Conference!  I am excited because President Whitehead is going to come!  The Branch is excited and they are working on finding someone to bring to the conference!  This area has changed so much since the first time I got here!  I love watching the progress of so many people!

Just to close I want to share my testimony that I know that Christ lives!  I know that He knows us perfectly and He knows what we need!  I know that He directs the church and that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet called of God.  The Atonement has always had a special part in my heart. I never thought that He suffered for our pains and sufferings but the moment that I learned that He did I have learned that I use the Atonement in every aspect of my life. This week we baptized Abraham who had a past full of sins. Things that I never thought He did but something that my companion told me is that before he was baptized he needed to know who is Christ for him. I love that she thought of that and I think that it is true with every single investigator. Every convert and member in the Church needs to know who is Christ for themselves. I invite every one of you to find out who Christ is for you.

LOVE;
Hermana Drew

The Power of the Book of Mormon

MOM!

The pictures of the temple are amazing!  I love how it looks and I cannot wait to enter again!  Maybe we could go on a temple tour when I get home? (Note from Mom:  Taylor and I were able to go to the Provo City Center Temple open house.  I sent Cait some pictures)

That is amazing that story about the power of the Book of Mormon!  I know that it is true too!  It is important that all of the members of the church read the book because it is the only way that we are going to stay active in the church.  Active with our hearts!  If their is anything that I have learned in the mission it is the importance to have your hearts in your work!

This week we had been working really hard to prepare Norma and Alexis for their baptisms and we had a wonderful service!  It was great to have the ward members there helping us! This week we are going to see if they will be willing to share their testimonies in sacrament meeting!  I love seeing how much  people progress in the church!

Also we had a meeting with all of the new sisters in the mission!  President taught us the importance to testify.  To know that our calling has power and that we shouldn´t be scared to testify!  I invite every one of you to do the same!  To testify in every moment!  People need to know what we stand for!

We had a zone conference and I talked about why we need to be sanctified and focused in the work.  It is really important that we can forget about all of the little things that keep us from working effectively and I am trying to be better.  To forget about how much time I have in the mission and to forget what I did before the mission and what I want to do after.  I need to be focused in finding the Lords children because this time is short!

Thank you for all that you do for me Mom!

I LOVE YOU TONS!
