Floods and Hot dogs!

Mother Dearest!

Can you believe it?! I have been on the mission for 5 months!  It is crazy that McKenna will be home in a month!  That means that I will be back in one year!  Wow time is cruising!

So sad to hear that Tay tay is sick.  It is the worst to be bed ridden. HA HA oh man she would clean the whole house?! ha ha!  She must be really sick!  (Note from Mom, Taylor has been really sick and told me she would do anything to not be sick including deep cleaning the whole house.)

I am so glad you got my package! Isn't Hermana Brinkerhoff the best!  I'm glad you were able to go to her homecoming. (Another note from Mom, Caitlin's last companion just got home from her mission and lives in St. George.  I was able to go down and hear her mission report.  It was fabulous being able to talk to someone face to face who had just seen my Cait.  I couldn't help but give her a big hug!  She brought back a package from Cait.) The little candies were just some of my favorites!  I thought it was funny with the pinguiinos! HAHAHA penguin party!!  Did you save something for McKenna?  The thing for Robert is a Luchador magnet.  I thought that it was pretty cool.  You can look at it if you would like!  Did Dad like his salsa or was it gross?  I have never tried it before......

This week was pretty good.  We didn´t have a lot of people in the church so I was a little sad about that.  I can honestly say that I know how Heavenly Father feels when we don´t complete a commandment.  I don´t think that I will ever miss a day of church ever again.

It was my turn to speak in church again and I spoke on missionary work.  Oh man sometimes we think that missionary work is hard but really the definition is sharing the gospel in word and example.  So simple but sometimes we don´t realize how we can make a difference.

It rained a lot this week.  We basically leave the house and it is hot and sunny but right after we eat it gets cloudy.  We were walking home this week and slowly the rain started to pick up.  We were drenched in 5 seconds ha ha.  When we got to our house we had a little pond in front.  I was walking along and when I took the next step I fell.  HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!  Oh man I was so glad that we were going in for the night!  It was so funny!

We are teaching this little boy of a less active member.  He is so smart and so spiritually strong.  We had a lesson on the Plan of Salvation and he had so many questions.  We had to go back to the basics and teach so that he could understand. It was such a good lesson.

So there is a little town here called San Gaspar.  And guess what?! They have Fireflies!  It reminded me so much of St. Louis!  I loved so much to see the little lights flickering!  So amazing that we have creatures like that in the world.

Here is a little about my comp.  Her name is Katia Olivas. She is 20 years old and from Tijuana Baja California.  She has 11 months in the mission and she is the nicest person ever!  She has a heart of pure gold!  I am so lucky to have had such amazing companions!

This week is going to be full of miracles!  Full of hope!  and full of blessings!  I can feel it!

Love you so much and keep on being an example of the believers!
