We saw butterflies!

Mama!

I can´t believe that Hailey hasn´t had her baby! I thought that for sure she had baby Drew!  What if she has her baby while I am talking to you for Christmas?  Speaking of Christmas.....I only get to speak to you guys for 30 min......so make sure that you have everything ready!  I will let you know what time when we get a little bit closer to Christmas!  18 days!  WOOOOOOOOO!

I swear every week here I feel more and more humbled and grateful for the gospel.  This week, as we went to buy a battery for our gas detector,  we walked into the store and a security guard saw the Book of Mormon in my hand.  She asked if she could see it for a little bit.  I asked her if she had talked with our companions before and she said that yes before but now she works every Sunday.  As we bought the battery I noticed that she had been treasuring every page.  looking at the pictures, and almost hugging it to preserve its value.  The Book of Mormon has always been a part of my life and I never thought that it was of such great value until I saw her face when we told her that she could have the book.  It has changed the way that I study.  I feel like I really need to treasure every bit of revelation that I receive.

This week we found some escogidos! (translation, select or golden investigators) Just like Elder Goodrich said, we have escogidos everywhere but it is just our job to prepare them.  The two investigators that came with us this week are Antonio and Rufi.  Antonio accepted baptism without a doubt.  We taught him lesson two so that he could know where his family members are and we taught him about the temple.  He started crying when we told him he would be able to see his family again.  Also when we presented the Book of Mormon,  he asked where it said that Jesus Christ visited the Americas.  He said that Jesus loves all of his brothers and so he had to have come here.  We gave him homework to read 3 Nephi 11 and he started and hasn´t stopped reading the Book of Mormon.

Rufi was a street contact too.  The missionaries were walking by her house about 3 years ago and she asked for a Book of Mormon.  She has already read all of it and she knows that Joseph Smith is a prophet.  When we taught about the plan of salvation and the temple she told us that she wanted to enter that building.  We asked her if she knew how she could enter and she answered, By being baptized right?!.  I am just waiting for her to tell us that she is already a member of the church!    A few things about Rufi., she has cancer, but she is the strongest woman I know.  She still is running around doing things for her grandkids, she is full of hope, and she isn´t afraid to die.  I really admire when people have given up fear in things that we don´t know will happen.  It is something that I want to change.  To not be scared.  To completely trust and to do things that make me happy.

So Michoacan has so many great things here INCLUDING butterflies!  They have a great sanctuary and today a member took us to the butterfly sight! It was an amazing experience!  I felt like Katnis in the woods!  I am so grateful for the beauty of the mountains!  The world is beautiful!

Thank you for sending me packages! I hope I get them soon! (Note from mom: I decided not to try to change the way she worded a lot of things because #1 I think it's cute and #2 I'm not quite sure what she is trying to say.  Ha ha)

I love you more!
